The National Association of Former United States Attorneys (NAFUSA) was founded in 1979 to promote, defend and further the integrity and the preservation of the litigating authority and independence of the office of the United States Attorney.
SAFE Project joins NAFUSA for its annual conference in Nashville, TN Fall 2018.
The conference will open on Wednesday, October 24, with a welcome reception at the law offices of Butler Snow in The Pinnacle at Symphony Place. On Thursday and Friday mornings, the CLE programs will feature a panel on the opioid epidemic moderated by NAFUSA life member Chuck Rosenberg, the former head of DEA, and featured SAFE Project Co-founder Admiral Winnefeld; a panel on international criminal investigations put together by NAFUSA Secretary Karen Hewitt and NAFUSA board member John Richter; a presentation on ethics; and a panel on the Supreme Court with Kannon Shanmugam.
On Thursday afternoon, there will be a tour of The Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson. This event’s keynote speaker on Friday night will be United States Senator Doug Jones.
