More Than A Label: A Webinar Conversation on Advocacy and Allyship

Join us to celebrate National Recovery Month 2020 at the “More Than a Label” webinar on September 3rd, 4 pm-5 pm EST with special guests Mariel Hufnagel and Daryl McGraw.

Special guests include two of the nation’s most outspoken criminal justice reform, equity, and recovery support services advocates, Mariel Hufnagel, Executive Director of The Ammon Foundation and Daryl McGraw, former Program Director for the Yale University Department of Psychiatry and Director of the Office of Recovery Community Affairs for the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS).

Both Mariel and Daryl are people in recovery who have been advocating for change at the federal, state and institutional levels for the past decade. Mariel’s leadership at the Ammon Foundation led to the launch of the first-ever recovery student scholarship program and Daryl’s work at the State of CT and now his consulting firm, Formerly Inc., is leading the way in criminal justice reform for those seeking education and recovery support post-incarceration.

Participants will learn about current advocacy efforts to increase access to education and recovery support for some of the most marginalized communities from two of the nation’s most outspoken criminal justice reform, equity, and recovery support services advocates.

Join us for an amazing conversation on recovery advocacy and building allyship!
