Arlington, VA (September 1, 2025) – SAFE Project is proud to launch Life’s a Party – a new public awareness campaign designed to provide factual, bias-free information about fentanyl and naloxone.
Available now at lifesaparty.org, Life’s a Party focuses on facts, not fear. SAFE Project invites everyone to stay informed, look out for their friends, and keep showing up prepared for every kind of moment. The campaign features straightforward information about fentanyl, naloxone, and test strips, along with practical safety tips and resources to support wellbeing, connection, and care.
Speaking in support of SAFE Project’s Life’s a Party campaign, Dr. Raul Gupta, former Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, stated, “The overdose crisis is claiming lives every day, tearing at the fabric of our communities. We must meet this challenge head-on with compassion and commitment. Expanding access to treatment, care, and recovery support — and equipping every American with the knowledge to recognize and respond to an overdose — are not just priorities; they are imperatives. Together, through awareness, education, and action, we can save lives and end this epidemic.”
“Life’s a Party” builds on SAFE Project’s original fentanyl awareness campaign for youth, first launched in 2024. Though overdose numbers have seen a decline compared to 2024 data, overdoses are still happening, and the number of people who report having substance use disorder has not changed.
“I am thrilled for SAFE Project to launch this campaign to address one of the most urgent public health challenges of our time. It is important for everyone to understand the risks and how to keep each other safe. The most powerful tools we have to combat overdose are awareness and education and Life’s a Party was created to highlight facts, share resources, and save lives,” said Jeff Horwitz, SAFE Project CEO.
As “Life’s a Party” continues to grow, visitors can look forward to information about additional substances, as well as a link to order our new Overdose Response Kits.
SAFE Project encourages everyone to share lifesaparty.org with family and friends. Together, we can ensure that everyone has the necessary information to stay safe!
