Program for all collegiate staff and faculty who want to improve recovery support and harm reduction services on their campuses
The SAFE Campuses Summer Series is an 8-week virtual program for university staff members who want to improve services and capacity on their campuses regarding substance use, recovery, and harm reduction.
Applicants from all levels of familiarity of collegiate recovery, harm reduction, and higher education are welcome. The Summer Series includes a number of delivery methods, from live discussions/panels to asynchronous content engagement. Course material is accessed through a learning management system and is subject to change based on cohort needs. Participants should expect to dedicate approximately 2.5 hours per week.
While much of the content will be self-paced, applicants to the Summer Series should keep the following dates/times blocked for live sessions or check-ins: Tuesdays from 6/10 to 7/29 at 3:00-4:30 pm ET. Participants will also be welcomed to join optional live trainings on topics such as recovery allyship and opioid overdose reversal on various Wednesdays at 3:00-4:30 pm ET throughout the Summer Series. More information will be provided to accepted applicants.

This application closes Friday, May 30, and applicants will receive responses regarding their status by Tuesday, June 3rd. Feel free to pass this opportunity along to your network and we look forward to receiving your application!
Participants in the Summer Series will:
- Create an action plan to increase recovery support, foster harm reduction, or reduce stigma on their campus
- Engage and network with key stakeholders in the collegiate substance use and recovery fields

The amount of introspection and ideas I have gotten from this program has been immeasurable. I believe that Summer Series program is the type of hands-on training program that empowers one to change attitudes about recovery on college campuses.
