Journey From Coping to Thriving
About the Program
In 2019, SAFE Project created a military connected prevention and wellness program through the assistance of funding and support from Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) and Walmart.
The program, designed by veterans for veterans, focuses on the unique challenges of military veterans and their families. This front-end wellness program aims to promote resilience for military connected individuals and encourages participants to seek help where there is a risk for substance use, mental health, and co-occurring challenges (e.g., PTSD, MST, TBI).
In the Details:

Over 90% of participants were now able to improve their mood or calm down if they get sad, angry, or anxious.

The ability to recognize signs of stress improved by 55%.

Nearly 100% of participants are confident they now have the tools to prevent drug and alcohol misuse.
