Cy Church was a prolific and accomplished tournament regular who earned an impressive reputation with the Mid-States Poker Tour. For those who knew Cy best, he was often described as kind and generous.
Cy’s time at the poker table was cut short far too soon when he passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2023.

Cy was humble about his prowess on the felt, and he would say he was most proud of his family, his love of God, and his recovery. In keeping with Cy’s values, his family has selected SAFE Project to receive funds raised by the tournament, supporting their “No Shame” Movement to save lives by fighting the stigma of getting help or talking about mental health and addiction.
